1 | Core the apples and peel the top one-third of each. Dip in acidulated water to prevent browning while preparing remaining ingredients. | 2 | Mix the butter, brown sugar, spices and raisin, well. | 3 | Place the apples in a lightly greased baking dish and fill the core of each with the brown sugar mixture. | 4 | Bake at 325°F (163°C) for 45 minutes to one hour. Test doneness with a paring knife. Serve warm. |
