Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C).

Soak the slices of bread in the milk until they are soft.

Heat the oil and sauté the onions until they are golden brown. Add the garlic and curry powder and cook for one minute to toast the curry powder. Allow the mixture to cool.

Squeeze the moisture from the bread and coarsely chop it. Reserve the milk.

Combine all the remaining ingredients except the eggs.

Spread the ground meat mixture evenly over the bottom of a lightly greased baking dish or a half hotel pan.

Bake the meat in the oven for 45 minutes.

Beat the eggs with the reserved milk and pour over the top of the meat.

**Return to the oven and bake for 20 minutes or until it reaches an internal temperature of 155°F (68°C).
